I was very impressed with the picture quality, which is second to none. With a full HD 1080p resolution, the images on its 42-inch display are so real. A 120 Hz refresh rate and a 4ms response time means that there is no image lag or juddering in this Sharp high definition TV. This makes for some wonderful viewing, especially for sports lovers. Its 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio provides deeper blacks and purer whites resulting in richer colors. Two speakers integrated onto the bottom of the TV provide a 30W stereo output.

The Sharp LC42D85U LCD Television has built-in ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuners that gains you access to DTV and analog TV channels. It also offers a number of connectivity options, including five HDMI Digital ports to connect your HD gadgets.

At forty pounds, this flat panel television is light and moving it around is very easy. I was also able to set up the TV on the stand within 10 minutes. (The set up is very similar to that of a computer LCD monitor.) The black metal stand is sturdy as well.
